This policy explains how [Legal entity name] (“Go With Flow”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when merchants install our Shopify app and when their customers use subscription features we provide.

1. Who this policy covers

• Merchants: Shopify store owners and their staff who install and use Go With Flow.
• Customers: shoppers who buy subscriptions from a merchant’s store using Go With Flow.
• Website visitors: people who visit this website or contact us.

For customer data, the merchant is the data controller and Go With Flow acts as a processor on the merchant’s behalf.

2. Information we collect

• Store information: store name, URL, contact email and settings, provided through Shopify when you install the app.
• Customer information: name, email, phone number, shipping address and order history needed to run subscriptions.
• Payment references: subscription and mandate identifiers and payment status from your payment gateway. We do not store full card numbers, UPI PINs or bank passwords; these are handled by the gateway.
• Usage data: logs, device and browser information used to keep the service secure and working.
• Contact details: anything you send us through forms or email.

3. How we use information

• To create, renew, skip, pause and cancel subscriptions and create orders in Shopify.
• To send subscription notifications such as renewal reminders and failed payment notices.
• To provide support, onboarding and account communication.
• To detect fraud, secure the service and meet legal obligations.
• To improve the product using aggregated, de-identified data.

4. Sharing

We share information only with: Shopify; the payment gateway the merchant connects (such as Razorpay, Cashfree or Paystack); service providers that host and operate our infrastructure under confidentiality obligations; and authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.

5. Retention

We keep merchant and customer data while the app is installed and for [retention period] afterwards, unless the law requires longer. When a merchant uninstalls the app, we delete their store data in line with Shopify’s data requirements.

6. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring to protect data. No system is completely secure, and we will notify affected merchants of a data breach as required by law.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or object to certain processing. Customers should contact the merchant first; merchants and visitors can contact us at support@gowithflow.com. We respond to Shopify’s customer data request and redaction webhooks.

8. International transfers
